Cloud Hybrid Service: Advanced Networking & Security
2/13/14 (Thursday) 11:30 AM – Moscone West, Room 2002 In this session we will take a deep dive into advanced networking and security constructs available in the vCloud Air. We will go beyond the basic networking and security service features and see how VMware can help you deploy a complex 3 tier web app in a cloud environment. In addition, see how easy it is to extend your datacenter networking and security constructs to the VMware cloud. Be it Multi DMZ networks, complex networks, load balancing, DHCP services, IP address scheme etc. see how VMware’s Hybrid Cloud Services are ideally suited for extending your on-premises networking and security constructs to the cloud.
HYC3374 Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) Options With vCloud Air (vCloud Air) 2/11/14 (Tuesday) 2:15 PM – Moscone West, Room 2008 Since the release of VMware vCloud Air the first and foremost use case customers have asked for is Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. This session will cover the official VMware offering for Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS), along with other options that can be done by partners to facilitate Disaster Recovery designs using vCloud Air as the target. We all Understand that Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity are not just replication solutions, but require complete infrastructure. Using the infrastructure that the VMware Hybrid Service can provide, we can achieve this. We will see that the VMware vCloud Air offers the complete capability and flexibility in networking and infrastructure to facilitate complete BC/DR Solutions.

About Chris Colotti

Chris is active on the VMUG and event speaking circuit and is available for many events if you want to reach out and ask. Previously to this he spent close to a decade working for VMware as a Principal Architect. Previous to his nine plus years at VMware, Chris was a System Administrator that evolved his career into a data center architect. Chris spends a lot of time mentoring co-workers and friends on the benefits of personal growth and professional development. Chris is also amongst the first VMware Certified Design Experts (VCDX#37), and author of multiple white papers. In his spare time he helps his wife Julie run her promotional products as the accountant, book keeper, and IT Support. Chris also believes in both a healthy body and healthy mind, and has become heavily involved with fitness as a Diamond Team Beachbody Coach using P90X and other Beachbody Programs. Although Technology is his day job, Chris is passionate about fitness after losing 60 pounds himself in the last few years.
