2013 NEVMUG Winter Warmer

My Session At the 2013 NEVMUG Winter Warmer

Well it is almost that time of year again for the NEVMUG Winter Warmer in Foxboro, MA!  The date has been set this event of January 17th, 2013 and as always we hope our Patriots are there practicing for the playoffs!  This is never an event to miss and is always one of the best events put on in the local New England area, and also happens at what I refer to as my “Happy Place”, Gillette Stadium.

This year based on my new role here at VMware I have enlisted the help of Thomas Kraus, fellow VCDX and now Network Virtualization colleague. The basis of our presentation for the 11:00am keynote will be the VMware vision of Network Virtualization.  Depending on the time we have we may or may not be able to do a demo, but we’ve been given the time to go into lunch if need be.

Rough Agenda:

  • Intros
  • Network Virtualization overview
  • How The Network Virtualization Platform works (Nicira NVP)
  • Virtual Architecture Whiteboard
  • Network Virtualization Demo
  • Q&A
The agenda above for this session may change as we work through the time available and the information we can provide.  We will need to work with marketing on this one to make sure we are able to provide as much information that is useful to you all.  Thomas and I are really looking forward to this session and we hope we will have some great information to provide.  This topic will continue to change I am sure even after we present, but let’s kickoff the new year with a great session on Network Virtualization!

  1. I’ve now registered, and am very much looking forward to your presentation, and would certainly enjoy a demo while we dine. Sure hope you get to each your lunch before you head onstage!

Afterward, I realize it’ll be mighty crowded, but I’ll still try to finally meet you (you had briefly walked by when I was chatting with Chad, back at VMworld 2012 in San Francisco).
