Take a Spin With The Cohesity Qualifying Lap

Are you a blogger or technologist, that was wanted to get more information about Cohesity and maybe even get your hands on the software in your own home lab?  Well since joining Cohesity, whenever I talk to folks that want to do videos, or write content about the product their first question was, “How do I get my hands on it?”.  For the last six months I’ve been working to make this a reality for those that want to do just that.   The final program has been named The Cohesity Circuit.  You may have seen the first event for this as a contest to attend the Dutch Grand Prix which.  The next phase, which is the part I was working on, is known as “Qualifying Laps”.  So what are these all about?

The Cohesity Circuit Qualifying Laps

These are a multi-city road show that includes a short 2-hour session followed by a Cohesity Gathering, and finally access to the software.  The 2-hour session is intended to give a technical overview of the Cohesity Data Platform, without boring you to death.  The Cohesity Gathering is something the team started last year to brand our happy hour events.  Access to the software is given the day after you attend, with a quick start guide, and some follow on tips and tricks over the course of a few weeks.  You will also get access to a private Slack channel for questions and peer to peer support with other attendees.  The goal is to get technologists, bloggers, and other industry influencers to ultimately generate some content about the platform.  I should note, this is not available widely to everyone like vExpert licenses are just yet.

Each city’s event will run on the same day, hosted by a member of the Cohesity Technical Advocacy Group, so you may not know who you are getting unless you pay attention to the social media posts.  There has been quite a bit of work on my side to put the program together and get some programatic things in place to support it.  I’m very excited to see people finally get their hands on it from the technical communities.  I know better than everyone that when you get stick time, you talk about it.

So for me personally, what are the cities I am doing and the dates?  See below, and we are also working on a landing page with all the cities and dates for the entire program.
