FREE Holiday Gift From Veeam

VEEAM BACKUP & REPLICATION v6 LICENSES FOR YOUR LAB

Yesterday Veeam announced a great deal for those of us running home labs that want to use their backup software.

You can get Free NFR Licenses for Evaluation and Demonstration Use available to VMware vExperts, VMware Certified Professionals, VMware Certified Instructors, VMUG members, Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals, and Microsoft Certified Professionals.

You can register here for you’re NFR copy.  It looks as though you need a business e-mail address, but there is a note about bloggers being able to get this as well.

If I have time I may write up an article about using this with vCloud Director just for fun to see if I can get something to share by combining Veeam with vCloud.  Who knows maybe it will yield some interesting results.

All I want for Christmas is…..Some Veeam Backup!

  1. Yeah, I can definitely share some interesting results.. 😉

    • Cool, send me a note. I was curious to try a standard backup software with vCloud and just play with the restore as part of my current project for DR if I have extra time. It is not technically in scope for what I am doing, but you know what they say about curiosity.
